I feel so fortunate to have been accepted in the home of my best friend and if it wasn't for Mama Carol, I don't know if I would have made it through a couple of tough times. When your best friend's mom hugs you and gives you advice your own mom doesn't - there's no better feeling for a teenage girl. I remember the camping trip, the french pancakes, but what stands out most is when Tammy, Anita & I got into a car wreck and Carol was not only there for her daughters, as she should be, but she was there for me as well. I'll never forget it - she made me feel safe. You left us too soon - you will be missed.
