i would llike to extend my condolescences on the passing of a truly unique individual. I loved Carroll's sense of humor and his ability to speak his mind. Beneath his strong exterior was a very loving, devote man who was a blessing to know and to work with. He is among my most memoriable people- beloved for many reasons. May your hearts be comforted by his continued presence with you as you remember his love and the many ways he made your life a blessing. God Bless you and bring you peace.

I remember Carroll as a young boy in Meriden, coming to clean our rugs.
I was honored to serve on the Meriden Sports Reunion Committee with Carroll for many years. He was Co-Chairman for many years and and was honored as a "Sportsman of Distinction" in 2002. He always made the meetings interesting, with his wit, humor, and knowledge of Sports in Meriden.
May Carroll Custy`s soul rest in God`s eternal Peace! He will be missed.
Sincerely,
John A. Young

My family grew up on Sunbright Drive South in Meriden. We hung out with the Custy kids and went to St. Rose School together. We played in Mr. Custy's old mail truck that was parked in his driveway and played hide and seek in between the rugs that he had hanging in his basement. I remember him with a smile on his face and a corny joke at the ready. He was a big guy physically but it was his strong personality that would fill a room. My condolences to Eileen, Tim, Maryanne,Pat and his entire family.

Carroll was one of the greatest guys I had the opportunity to meet and share a little time with. I remember our little chats at the toll booth in Wallingford on my way down to Southern for classes every day. He always had a quick joke or funny story. I had a lot of fun with him in the St. Rose shows. Most of all, Carroll was the quintessential gentleman. My condolences to my friend and former classmate Maryanne, and the entire family.

To the entire Family of Mr. Custy my sincere sorrow on his recent passing. As a young boy I was privileged to have had Mr. Custy as a baseball coach from whom I learned so much about the game but more importantly about life. He was a true inspiration to me and he will be greatly missed.
