He continued his lifetime membership in the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge No. 35. He also was a member of the AARP Association and the Senior Citizens Organization of Meriden.

Jack will be deeply mourned and missed by his beloved children; daughter Corilynn and son-in-law, William Nehez, and his son, Donald; also his grandchildren, William Nehez Jr. of East Haven, Lori and Dan RuKamp of Cary, North Carolina, Jennifer and Chris Esser of Malvern, Pa., Janet Nehez of Wallingford, and Dan Sattler of Southington; four great-grandchildren, Jackson and Abbey RuKamp and Will and Grace Esser; he also leaves his dear friend and companion, Elizabeth Kielbasinski and family; and also beloved family of brothers and sisters, Ralph and Evelyn Finance, Viola Habersang, Dorothy Rehm; and several nieces and nephews, and all the buddies from McDonalds, Hunter's Golf Course and the T-Bowl. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Edward and Raymond Sattler; and two sisters, Helen Sattler and Florence O'Connor; granddaughter, Susan Nehez.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, and at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial with military honors will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, prior to the service from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made in his granddaughters name (Janet Nehez) to the John Nerden R.T.C. Camp, Inc., 89 Powder Hill Road, Middlefield, 06455 for the many years that she enjoyed the camp experience. www.jferryfh.com

I have known Jack since I was a young boy. He gave me my first haircut and he was a friend and just a wonderful person. Jack loved golf and I would always kid him about all his "Hole In Ones"!
My deepest sympathy goes out Jack`s Family, may his Soul rest in God`s eternal peace!
Sincerely,
John A. Young

Don,
Although we haven't seen each other in some time the news of your Father's passing still is very sad and my condolences go out to you and the rest of your family.
I spent a lot of my youth at your house with Tommy and your Father always treated me great and would always acknowledge me with a warm greeting when out in public.
I'm very sorry for your loss and may he rest in peace. I pray God eases your suffering.
