Diane Mathew

Diane (DiPietro) Mathew, 63, of New Britain, died Dec. 2, 2008. A lifelong New Britain resident, she was daughter of the late John Paul and Sophie (Sastri) Aubin.
She was a baker at Walbaum's Food Mart in West Hartford for 16 years, retiring in 2002.
She is survived by a daughter, Elisa DiPietro of New Britain; a brother, Angelo DiPietro and his wife Carolyn of Deep River; two sisters, Jill Wisniewski and her husband Eric of Southington and Juany Talareva of New Britain; two grandchildren, Jacquelynn Whiteof New Britain and Anthony DiPietro and his wife Amber of San Diego, Calif.; three great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews, including Angela Upham of New Britain. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Angelo DiPietro; a brother, Vincent DiPietro; and a nephew, Justin Wisniewski.
Services were held Dec. 5, 2008 at Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain, followed by a Mass at St. Paul Church, Kensington. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Memorial donations may be made to the Justin Wisniewski Firefighters Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 473, Southington, CT 06489.
