Dora Fontanella Obituary
She leaves her nieces and nephews, William Logozzo of Niantic, Janet Logozzo, of Niantic, Karen Rancourt, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Ellen Franks, of West Hartford, Richard Logozzo, of Glastonbury, Jane Duncan, of Amarillo, Texas, Diane Ryerson, of Sparta, N.J., and their families; and longtime family friend, Mary O'Connor, of Old Saybrook. Dora especially enjoyed gatherings with family and friends and her intellect, sense of humor, ready smile and twinkling eyes will be sorely missed.
Dora's family extends special thanks to the staffs of the Emergency Department, Pavilion C and the Palliative Care Team at MidState Medical Center for their compassionate care.
Dora Fontanella's funeral service has changed and will now be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, in the chapel at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mary Kaye Fund, c/o Waldron, 176 Marlborough St., 2, Boston, MA 02116, or to the Todd Ouida Children's Foundation, 591 Clarendon Court, River Edge, NJ 07661.
