Elizabeth Sundberg Obituary
Elizabeth was born in New Haven on Dec. 12, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Theodore J. and Elizabeth Freitag Sundberg. She had worked for Project Moore, Axton Cross and Seaton. No matter what she was doing she was always a people person quick with a smile and a hello. Elizabeth was very artistic especially drawing and enjoyed playing the organ.
She was the mother of Joseph, Eric and Jo Ann Carasone, Rose Harris and her husband, John; grandmother of Aja Flannery (Carasone), Kyle Dougherty, Shannon (William) Flynn, Erica and Matthew Harris; great-grandmother of Martial Montefusco and Andrew Brown. She was also survived by Marie Walczak who was her lifelong friend since childhood. She was predeceased by a brother, Theodore F. Sundberg and his wife, Flora. Our beloved mother Elizabeth now rests in the loving arms of the angels.
Funeral services were conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., on Monday, Nov. 20. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Aja Rose Flannery Education Fund c/o TD Bank, 90 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT 06473.
