Francis Gualtieri Obituary
He was born on July 29, 1947 in Southington, he was the son of the late Dominic and Lucy (Perillo) Gualtieri. He was a veteran of the Vietnam era proudly serving our country in the U.S. Navy. Francis retired from Ideal Forge after 35 years of service and also worked for FK Bearings. He was a Lector for St. Thomas Church. He was a die-hard N.Y. Yankee and Giants fan.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his son, Matthew Gualtieri, of Southington; two sisters, Marion Harmon, of Enfield and Jackie Gualtieri, of Bristol, "who loved him for being a fun and reliable brother who was always there for them no matter what." He was predeceased by a sister Ermine Kretchen.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington Inurnment with military honors will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. My dear cousin Carol - it's been a tough year for losses in the Feola family. I too, feel your loss as I also lost Gary June 1st. I'm so happy that Francis celebrated (birthday party) a happy event. I know it's not much but if you need anything or just to talk give me a call. My dad, Uncle Tony can give you my phone number. I will be there on Saturday. Funny I was just going through some old pictures with us all "young". I do so miss those days. When you think back - we all spent a great deal of time together. How I miss those days!! See you soon.
