Gary Norke Obituary
Gary G. Norke, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Born in Meriden, on June 3, 1963, he was the son of Gladys (Smitana) Norke and the late Roger Norke, Sr. He was a graduate from Wilcox Technical School as an electrician. He enjoyed a long career in automotive electronics.
Gary enjoyed a passion for music, especially the guitar and drums. He was a member of several bands. Gary was blessed with being very mechanically inclined. He had a huge heart and never hesitated to help someone in need with his talents.
In addition to his mother, Gladys, Gary is survived by his brother, Roger Norke and his wife Nancy; their daughter, Sarah Sienko; and their son, Peter and his wife Megan and their children, Alexis, Emily and Brianna; as well as his sister-in-law, Miriam Norke. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Lorna of Panama City, Florida. He was predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey J. Norke and his infant sister, Janet M. Norke.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Thursday, July 11th at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, 82 Akron St., Meriden, CT 06450. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church and there are no calling hours. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
