Gennaro Cistulli Obituary
February 24, 1928 - June 9, 2025
Gennaro "Jerry" Cistulli, 97, of Kensington, husband of Lucia "Lucy" (Giannini) Cistulli, passed away at home on June 9, 2025.
Born in Turi, Bari, Italy, Jerry was the son of the late Pietro Antonio and Anna (Valerio) Cistulli. He was formerly employed at Tuttle & Bailey before retiring. Jerry was a member of St. Ann Church in New Britain, the New Britain Elks Lodge for over 35 years, and the Italian Political Independent Society in Kensington for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing bocci, making wine, and gardening.
In addition to his wife, Lucy, Jerry is survived by two sons: Peter and his wife, Pamela, and John and his wife, Carla; six grandchildren, Bryan Cistulli, Kaitlyn (Stephen) DeGennaro, Daniel Cistulli, Casey (Madison) Cistulli, Amber Cistulli, and Maria Cistulli; and two great-grandchildren, Noah DeGennaro and Isabella Rosalia Cistulli. Jerry also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his son, Anthony Cistulli.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Church at St. Joachim Parish, 101 North St., New Britain. Entombment followed at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours were Friday, June 13, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
