Giovanni Cirillo Obituary

SOUTHINGTON - Giovanni "John" Cirillo, 48, of 777 Old Turnpike Road, Plantsville section, died on Mon-day, Sept. 14, 2009. He was the husband of Jodi (Kubala) Cirillo.

He was born in Caserta, Italy on April 30, 1961, the son of Vincenzo and Francesca (Ragazzino) Cirillo, of Southington. John was a self-employed carpenter and a parishioner of St. Thomas Church. He loved life, laughter and friends. John lived for his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his parents and wife, he leaves a son, Michael Delfino, of Southington; two brothers, Stefano Cirillo and wife, Pasqualina, Giuliano Cirillo, all of Southington; a sister, Josephine Rubino and husband Robert, of Southington; one special godchild, Jacqueline Rubino Ortalizio, of Australia; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. He also leaves his special companion "Leo." He was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Valerie and Julian Kubala.

The family would like to thank all those who showed condolences and compassion in their time of need.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 18, at 9:45 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. I will remember his smile and sense of humor. I am so sorry for his families loss especially his Mom and Dad. The greatest tragedy is a parent losing a child. Laurie and I are here if anyone should need anything. We love you all.
