Gunnar Nelson Obituary

Gunnar J. Nelson, 45, died Jan. 24, 2007, at home of cancer.
He was the lead singer and harmonica player in his band, Midnite Train. He was employed by NASDAQ for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Bell) Nelson; his sons, Andre and Wesley, Cameron and Gus; his mother, Dorothy Nelson; his sisters, Kristine Hodlin and her husband, Paul, Diane Pratt and her husband, Gary, and Ingrid Nelson; his brother, Brandt Nelson; his in-laws, Claudia and Ken Bell Sr., Cherie Lee and Ken Bell Jr., Joe Fernandes and daughter, Nichole Fernandes, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Wesley Nelson, and his sister-in-law, Lynn (Bell) Fernandes.
The funeral service was Jan. 31 at the Plantsville Congregational Church, Plantsville. Burial followed in South End Cemetery. The Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, Plantsville, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the Nelson Children Scholarship Fund, c/o Webster Bank, 132 Main St., Southington, CT 06489.
