Jesus Rosa Obituary

MERIDEN - Jesus Rosa, Jr., 48, of Willow Street, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at MidState Medical Center after a long illness.

Born in Puerto Rico on Sept. 8, 1961, he was the son of Iris Agront and Jesus Rosa, Sr. and had been a long time Meriden resident. He attended St. Rose of Lima Church.

Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Nora Rijos; three brothers, Omar Rosa, Carlos Rijos and Reinardo Rijos; he is also survived by one niece, Alyssa Vasquez; and one nephew, Josiah Vasquez; several cousins, including, Omar Agront, Aida Agront and Eguardo Rosa; several aunts and uncles, including Isidoro Agront and Aida Agront.

"Jesus was loved dearly by his family and will be deeply missed. He was a wonderful uncle, brother, son and friend. Jesus had a warm heart and a kind soul and will forever live on in our hearts. We thank God for all the time he gave us with him and we are all better people for having known him."

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 12:15 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 12 (Noon) on Thursday, prior to the service. www.jferryfh.com
