John Crescenzo Obituary

John Anthony Crescenzo, 42, of Sylvan Ave., Wallingford, died, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at the Hospital of St. Raphael. He was the beloved husband of Lori A. (Lauder) Crescenzo.
He was born in New Haven, Oct. 11, 1964, a son of Joseph W. and Marie (Sicignano) Crescenzo of Wallingford, and had been raised in West Haven before moving to Wallingford 32 years ago. He was 1983 graduate of Lyman Hall High School and had previously worked at Firelite Inc. in Northford and Merriam Motors in Wallingford. He currently was a student at Porter and Chester Institute in Branford. He had been a member of the Yalesville Volunteer Fire Department, The Wallingford Elks Lodge No. 1365, bartended at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Northford and belonged to the New Haven and Shelton Horseshoe Clubs.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his son, John Anthony Crescenzo II of Wallingford; his sister, Sandria M. Pilla and her husband, Anthony R. of Middlefield; his father-in-law, Ellsworth J. Lauder of Key Largo, Fla.; his brother-in-law, Marc W. Allen and his wife, Ann of Osceola, WI; a niece, Lexi Allen; three nephews, Anthony R. Pilla Jr., Anthony Ferguson and Zachery Allen; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Anthony and Nancy Sicignano; and his paternal grandparents, John and Sandria Crescenzo.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Sunday, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, at 9 a.m. from the Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Michael's Church, Worcester Square, New Haven, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
