John Neville Obituary

John "Jack" E. Neville, beloved husband of the late Rose Marie Neville, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021 at MidState Medical Center. Born in Ware, Massachusetts on May 17, 1940, he was the son of the late John A. and Mabel (Hickory) Neville. Jack and Rose grew up in Ware before moving to Meriden, CT in 1972. Jack was employed as an independent distributor for UTZ Snacks of East Hartford for many years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, St Joseph Church. Jack was also a member of the Meriden Lions Club, North Italian Club and the Meriden Elks Lodge #35.

Jack is survived by his daughter Tammy and her husband Alan Konareski; his two sons, Jamie and his wife Kim Neville and David and Lisa Neville, and his four grandchildren Michael, Cameron, and Kirsten Neville, and Kyan Konareski.

Jack was a loving husband, father, poppy, and friend to all who were fortunate enough to have known him. His gentle carefree nature and generosity never went unnoticed. He especially enjoyed traveling to sunny locations with his late wife Rose, trips to the casino, and special vacations with his family and grandchildren. Jack was devoted as a citizen to the city of Meriden. He took place in many community events volunteering for over 57 years with the Lions Club. He was the club's longest-tenured member up until his passing. His quick wit and sense of humor were sure to make you laugh, and he will be missed by all. As Jack often said, "If I don't see you through the week, I'll see you through the window."

Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, on Monday, April 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 6th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, St. Joseph Campus 22 Goodwill Ave, Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private. Due to the current pandemic, masks and social distancing will be required at all times.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at MidState Medical Center and Apple Rehab Coccomo of Meriden for the care they provided Jack. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Meriden Lions Club, P.O. Box 2629, Meriden, CT 06450. For online condolences, please visit www.jferryfh.com.
