Kathryn R. Berube

1947 - 2023

Kathryn R. Berube, 75, beloved wife of Donald Berube, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on June 12, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eileen Reilly. Kathryn resided in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, prior to moving to Meriden. She worked at Pratt & Whitney, Sears and other jobs with a temp agency. Kathy was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church and a member of the North Italian Ladies Auxiliary.

She was an avid UCONN Women's Basketball Fan and enjoyed cooking, cruising and traveling.

Kathy was always there to help those in need and enjoyed volunteering.

Besides her husband Don, she is survived by her two sons, Dennis M. Berube and Matthew J. Berube; her sister, Eileen Reilly; her brother-in-law, Edwin Girling and her sister-in-law Florence Girling. Kathy is also survived by her niece, Kristin Girling, her nephew, Christopher Girling and many cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Reilly.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23rd from 9 to 11 a.m., with her service commencing at 11 a.m. in the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden. Her burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
