Kevin Wise Obituary

Kevin John Wise, of Wallingford, CT and Naples, FL, died at home after a long illness on January 7, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lee (Helene Namnoum), his 2 children, Meg Wise (Paul Gould) of Amherst, MA and Kevin H. Wise (Becky) of Wallingford and his 2 beloved granddaughters, Callie and Sara Keene of Amherst. He is also survived by his brother, George (Christine) Wise of E. Falmouth, MA and his sister, Margie Wise-Saari (Ron) of Vero Beach, FL. He leaves behind brothers-in-law, Bob Namnoum (Donna), A.J. Namnoum (Cindy) and John Namnoum (Jane) and sisters-in-law: Mary Ann O'Neil (Toby) and Sherry Takahashi (Kuni). Kevin is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends and his beloved dog, Oliver. Kevin was born on October 31, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late William and Marie Wise, but he lived most of his early life in CT. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering from UCONN. After working for private industry for several years, he started his own company, CPC Corp, a manufacturer of after-market automotive products. Most important to Kevin was his family, to whom he was devoted, but he also cherished his many close friends. Kevin gave generously to many charities and loved sharing with family and friends. He was a great story teller, known for his wit and humor, often regaling friends and family with his slightly embellished tales. He loved boating and fishing, enjoying his time on Cape Cod pursuing those passions. He belonged to the Members Club at Marco Island and enjoyed golfing with family and friends. Kevin loved designing homes and spent much time on his many real estate projects; though he maintained a residence in Wallingford, he loved building homes in various vacation destinations from Cape Cod to Kiawah Island, S.C. to Naples, FL. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Sat., Jan. 14, from 9:00-10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial at Most Holy Trinity Church, (84 N. Colony St.) will follow at 11:00 AM. Because several in attendance are immuno-compromised, masking is required. The family thanks you for understanding. As parishioners of Most Holy Trinity Church, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to: Most Holy Trinity Church, 25 N. Whittlesey Ave., Wallingford, CT 06492 or CT Foodshare, 2 Research Parkway, Wallingford, CT 06492

So sad to hear this news, a wonderful man who has always been so very supportive to me.
I had the great pleasure to work with, and still to this day work with his company.
Such an accommodating and funny character. Great memories of his very kind hospitality when we stayed with him at Cape Cod. This was the first fish I ever caught thanks to Kevins studius tutoring, we did have a great time. We debated for some time who caught the biggest fish, so when I sent these pictures back to him (after we photoshopped the fish) the fish I caught was enormous, he did chuckle at this.
Having watched the wonderful video of him and his family, its clear to see he was a very much'd loved
chap. I will miss our calls but I am grateful to have met him. Love to Lee and all his family at this very sad time.

Kevin and I were very close friends when we were young in the early 70´s and maintained contact through the years. He was always generous and walked the earth respected by everyone especially me. We had so many adventures together and he always kept me laughing. Kevin was an amazing person and an everlasting presence in my life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
