Lillian Varano Obituary

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Lillian A. Varano, 89, of Port St Lucie, Fla., died, Friday, March 15, 2013 at Martin Medical Center in Stuart, Fla.

Lillian was born in New Britain, Conn., and moved to Port St. Lucie, Fla., in 2004 from Bristol, Conn. She retired from City Hall for the City of New Britain. Lillian was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, in Port St. Lucie, Fla., where she was active in the Council of Catholic Women. She was also a member of PGA Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 57 years, Angelo J. Varano; and her daughter in law, Carol Varano. Survivors include, companion, Walter Mack, of Port St, Lucie, Fla.; sons, Richard F. Varano, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Daniel J. Varano and his wife, Kim Varano, of Southington; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 6, at 9 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 47 Clark St., New Britain. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
