Lucyna Scielzo Obituary

Lucyna Scielzo, 49, of Meriden, wife of Todd Redmond, passed away unexpectedly, August 1, 2023 at her home.

Lucyna was born in Kolbuszowa, Poland, on February 13, 1974, a daughter of Jozef Niezgoda and the late Anna Niezgoda.

Lucyna worked as a CNA for Masonicare for 20+ years in Wallingford, and continued her work in other senior care facilities. She was passionate about the work that she did and how it helped the elderly in the later stages of their lives. She loved spending time outdoors and with her family, especially her beloved pug, Lexi.

In addition to her husband, Todd, she is survived by two daughters, Agnes Scielzo and Samantha Redmond, both of Meriden; her sister, Agnieszka Niezgoda; and her brother, Mirek Niezgoda, both of Poland.

Lucyna's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 4 pm until 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated directly at St. Bridget of Sweden Church, 175 Main Street in Cheshire, on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10am. Interment will be private.
