Nancy Nardozzi Obituary

Nancy J. Nardozzi, 76, of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at The Summit of Plantsville. She was the wife of Frank Nardozzi. Nancy was born in Waterbury on May 13, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Francis and Lorna (Spencer) Searles. She was a graduate of the former Croft High School of Waterbury. Nancy retired from the Connecticut Hospital Association where she was an administrative assistant. During her retirement, Nancy loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and Aruba and her annual trip to Vermont which she made for over 40 years. She also loved to crochet and sew. However, it was spending time with her family that was the most important thing to her. Besides her husband, Nancy is survived by her three children; Janet Alfano and her husband Mark of Southington, Nancy Lundy and her husband Mark of South Windsor and David Stolfi and his wife AnnMarie of Newington. She was a beloved and devoted grandmother to Jackson, Charles, Isabella, Robert, Allison, Giuliana and Gabriella. She is also survived by her sister, Carol McDonough and her husband Mike of West Virginia. Nancy was predeceased by her brother Mark Searles and his wife Kandy. She also leaves behind treasured nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family across the United States and Canada.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Summit at Plantsville and Athena Hospice. A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, CT 06489. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Should friends desire, contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to the Diaper Bank of Connecticut, 370 State St., North Haven, CT 06473 or to The Alzheimer's Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 48, Southington, CT 06489.
