Nettie McIntyre Obituary

SOUTHINGTON - Nettie "Ruth" (Wheeler) McIntyre, 77, of Southington, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at home unexpectedly.

She was born in Bristol on Aug. 27, 1940, the daughter of the late Ralph and Louise (DePaulo) Wheeler. She was employed as a supervisor by the State of CT at the DMV in New Britain for 38 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Dolores Ahern and husband, Michael, Richard S. McIntyre, Jeffrey P. McIntyre and wife, Lina and Gary A. McIntyre, all of Southington, 7 grandchildren Angela LaBelle, Michael and Danielle Ahern, Richard, Jr; Christopher, Kevin and Ryan McIntyre. She also leaves two brothers, Robert and James Wheeler, of Southington; and a sister, Patricia Bradley of Fla. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Michaud.

Funeral services will be on Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington at 10 a.m. for a Mass. Burial will be at the Lake Avenue Cemetery in Bristol. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
