Phyllis Amiot Obituary
Phyllis P. Amiot, 99, beloved wife of the late Armand L. Amiot, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Friday, August 16, 2024. Born in Danielson, CT, on November 3, 1924, she spent most of her early life in Fall River, MA, before later moving to Meriden, CT, where she raised her family.
Despite her small stature, Phyllis was a strong and dedicated worker, retiring after 25 years as an operator at SNET.
She is survived by her son, JeanPaul Amiot, and his wife, Anna; and her daughter, Denise B. Amiot, and her partner, James Savoie. She was predeceased by her son, Lawrence, in 1976, and her sister, Cecilie, in 1995.
Phyllis was a kind and caring individual to all who she came in contact with. Her generous and gracious spirit will be missed by all.
In her final years in Durham, she was lovingly cared for by her live-in companion, Hazel Lowe Tucker, from Visiting Angels. As a family, we will be forever grateful for Hazel's dedicated and loving care of our mother.
A Christian Burial Mass will take place at St. Colman's Church, 170 Hubbard St., Middlefield, CT on Monday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery 1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA 02721

I´m so sorry to hear the passing of Mrs Amiot she was a caring, loving person. I will always remember her for her kindness. She sent me a Christmas card every year and she loved my dogs and they used to visit her all the time looking for that cookie. and my backyard was almost to her backyard. When she lived in her house May she rest in peace Elizabeth Bellante
