Raymond L. Yeaton

WALLINGFORD - Raymond L. Yeaton, Sr., 90, of Wallingford, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at the MidState Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Christy Yeaton.

Born in North Conway, N.H., June 24, 1922, a son of the late Merton and Nettie Lombard Yeaton, he had been a Wallingford resident for many years. He had been employed by the Winchester Western/ Olin Co., of New Haven for over 40 years until his retirement and was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army.

Besides his wife Catherine, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon Seebald, of Wallingford; his son, Raymond L. Yeaton, Jr., of Rochester, N.Y.; his sisters, Barbara Bray and her husband, Robert, of Conway, N.H., Marion Bickford, of Madison, N.H., and Dorothy Garland, of North Conway, N.H.; his sister-in-law, Marion Yeaton, of Keene, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Eleanor Sutton, Doris Lombard, Ruth Tuttle, Arlene Mason and her husband, Russell, Anna Orr and her husband, William; and brothers, Merton Yeaton, George Yeaton, and Leonard Yeaton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Center Street Cemetery. His family will receive relatives and friends in the Wallingford Funeral Home Saturday from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.
