For years I passed by the farm and often thought I should stop fo buy eggs. Finally a couple of years ago I did. What a joy to meet Mr. Cremin! He had a spark in his eye and I always felt happy after our conversations and egg exchange. I also was a school nurse like Mrs. Cremin. I actually bought eggs the week he passed and was saddened to read of his passing. I know he's in the Lords care. Your family truly we're blessed!
May God keep you in his care!

My name is also Bob, 59, from Branford. My wife of seven months Natalie and I just met Bob this past fall when we started buying his eggs, honey, a pumpkin, and some Elderberry jam. We visited him a few times and were struck by his openness and cheerful hospitality. His trust was evident in the cash box he left out in the barn for us to put money into. For years, I've passed by his farm, saw the white picket fence, the inviting signs to buy eggs and other produce...but I never stopped. Finally, at my wife's urging, we stopped and had a wonderful time. Bob showed us his chickens and explained how he buys them through the mail each fall, I think he said over a hundred of them! He said in the last batch they had sent him a rooster by mistake, but he kept him anyway. He had a wonderful sense of humor. We had just gotten to know him and we were looking forward to more visits. What is very strange is I was on my way to work in Farmington and as I passed his home, I saw the ambulance in the driveway and the paramedics were taking him out of the house and putting him in the ambulance on a stretcher. He was sitting up and looked conscious so I was hoping it was just a scare. A few days ago, I passed by on my way to work during the day and saw the "Closed" sign outside and knew that wasn't good. I hadn't heard that he had passed. When I came home that night, I saw the one candle in the upstairs right window and knew that was in remembrance of Bob and he must not be with us anymore. Whoever did that, it was a moving tribute. I really needed to write this to express how in the few short visits we had with him, he impacted our lives, and from all these other postings, many others as well. You are missed, Bob.

My sincerest condolences to the Cremin family. I have lived in Northford for 38 years and have been buying my eggs from Bob and family for most of them. Bob was such a kind and gentle man. He always had a sparkle in his eye and a smile on his face. He went out of his way to greet his customers and exchange a few pleasant words. He will be miss by so, so many. RIP Bob.

After driving by the farm for many years we decided to stop and we are very glad we did. The eggs we got were the best, and the man we met put a smile on my wife's and my face. We are glad to have met him, will always remember him and are very sorry for your loss.

I am saddened to read of the passing of this wonderful man. Kind and caring, Bob let me know each time I stopped by for eggs that he was praying for me in my battle with cancer. I take solace in knowing you are together again with your wife. Rest In Peace Bob. To your family, how lucky you were to have had him, my deepest condolences.
