Shawn Bjornberg Obituary
Shawn was born on Sept. 2, 1967 in New Haven, son of the late Eric and Ellen (Gage) Bjornberg. He attended Sheehan High School. Shawn loved cooking and worked for numerous restaurants, he was also a caregiver to his mother for many years. He enjoyed hiking and camping. Shawn also enjoyed vacationing and his trips to Aruba with his mother. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Shawn leaves to survive him seven siblings, Cheri Lanahan and her husband, Bob, Todd Bjornberg and his wife, Sharon, Kevin Bjornberg and his wife, Shelia, Chris Bjornberg and his wife, Stacey, Paul Bjornberg and his wife, Carey, John Bjornberg and his wife, Dae'Ellen, all of Wallingford, along with Eric Bjornberg and his wife, Mary of Virginia; e also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Shawn is preceded in death by one brother, Keith Bjornberg.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 22, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Yalesville. Those attending the Mass are asked to meet directly at the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. We are so sorry for the loss of your baby brother. The Bjornberg Family has always been a blessing to so many people. Gee, if you want to have a baseball game, your never short for putting a team together, call the Bjornberg's. Someone needs help, you show up and there is always a Bjornberg there. The love and friendship found in this family is not common, but it is what everyone wishes they could have. It is a lot of dedication to become this type of family, faith, love, strength, generosity and no room for the self-serving. My family has been lucky to know all of you. I am glad my daughters were able to learn about family from being included at great picnics and seeing what is most important in life. Love, The Wiese Family
