Stephen Michael Stasiewski

MERIDEN - Stephen Michael Stasiewski, 21, of Schwink Drive, beloved son of Warren P. Stasiewski and Kathleen Planeta Stasiewski, died unexpectedly, Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at his residence.

Stephen was born in Middletown, Feb. 19, 1987. He was a 2005 graduate of Maloney High School in Meriden and was employed by Eastern Broach in Berlin. He loved music and was an avid Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd Fan. He enjoyed his cars, was an avid Boston Celtics and N.Y. Giants Fan and was a member of the Swedish Club in Berlin. Stephen loved life and was a happy kid.

Besides his beloved parents, he is survived by his sister, Sara E. Stasiewski, of Meriden; his maternal grandparents, George and Nancy Planeta of Durham; his aunts and uncles, Walter and Joyce Stasiewski, and Wayne Stasiewski, both of Middletown, George and Anna Planeta of Portland, Robert and Janice Planeta of Plainville; his godfather, John Planeta and his wife, Pam Planeta of Durham; his godmother, Kathleen McCarthy-Moran of Cromwell; and several cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Margaret Stasiewski.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 9 until 11:15 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church in Meriden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
