Thomas Erdos Obituary
He was born in Meriden, Dec. 2, 1965, and was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School, class of 1984. He had been employed by Middlesex Homecare for many years. Tom was an active member, past Exalted Ruler and current Treasurer of the Wallingford Elks Lodge 1365, as well as serving as a District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler. He was an avid boater and loved his weekend excursions aboard the Captain Morgan. Tom also loved playing hockey.
Tom was predeceased by his mother, Jane B. (Lentz) Erdos. He is survived by his fiancée, Gina DePaulo; his father, Robert E. Erdos, Sr. and his companion, Betty Jane Hamel; his siblings, Debi Thewlis and her husband, Jeff, Karen Farone and her husband, Rich, and Robert Erdos, Jr. and his wife, Lori; many nieces, a nephew, and great-nieces and nephews; and his dog, Brownie.
Tom's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Smilow Cancer Hospital for the excellent care they provided, especially the team on the 12th floor.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Sunday, April 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the Sisters' Project, www.thesistersproject.org, P.O. Box 1643, Wallingford, CT 06492. www.wallingfordfh.com.

Tommy was one of the first friends we made when we came to Chester Marina. He made us feel welcome and brought us into his circle of friends that we still have to this day. Over the years our paths would cross during the summer months and it was as if no time had passed. We have many memories from over the years and Tommy will always hold a special place in my heart. My deepest condolences to Gina and Tommy's entire family. There will never be another "Captain Morgan".

Bob, we are sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I can remember picking you up to play a job and Tommy who was 4 or 5 years old would come running up and say "hurry up and give me a kiss goodbye dad, I'm right in the middle of a fight"! Tommy, I met you in 1998 when the marina put my boat in your slip. After a few hours bantering back and forth, we became great friends, "dock scum" and brother Elk's. I and my family will miss you dearly. You'll always be in our thoughts.
