Todd Bacote Obituary

Todd Bacote
February 7, 1966 - October 27, 2024
Todd Evans Bacote, 58, of Haddam, loving husband of Micheline (Rodrigue) Bacote, passed away unexpectedly at Middlesex Hospital on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Todd was born on February 7, 1966, the son of Cheryl Raye. He was kind of a big deal and people knew him. He went into the United States Navy and served honorably from 1985 to 1989. Todd worked for the Newington VA Hospital as a Boiler Plant Operator for over thirty-five years. He was not only the head of our household, but the nucleus to his entire family. He was an amazing husband, an incredible father, and a phenomenal grandfather. He was a dedicated son, an attentive brother, a loving cousin, and a friend to ALL. Todd was a loving spirit that spoke to your soul on every level. He inspired joy, compassion, hope, and laughter with everyone he came in contact with. He was extremely proud of his children. He showed his children what it meant to live your life and gave them something to aspire to be. He was always the life of the party, with Mimi always by his side. He loved traveling with her everywhere, while always making several pit stops on their journey. He was a passionate fisherman and was always on a boat, enjoying the ocean with its view of clouds and the sky. He enjoyed his life to the fullest. He was a soldier, a patriot, and a poet to the strings of our hearts.
In addition to his wife, Micheline, and his mother, Cheryl, he is survived by his daughter, Maisha Head and her husband, Marquis Sr; his son, Dante Bacote and his wife, Nicole; his daughter, Brittany Bacote and her significant other, Tino Yin; his sister, Michele Yvette Bacote; his brother Harold Edward Riley Jr.; his grandchildren, Marquis Jr., Sean, Melody and Titus; his nieces and nephews, Dwayne, Jayde (Goddaughter), and DeAndre; as well as his other Godchildren, Tanasia and Mason, he leaves behind all his beloved cousins and friends.
Todd's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 2 pm until 3 pm, with a funeral service to be held at 3 pm, with military honors during visiting hours.
