William James Rudolph
William James Rudolph of Meriden passed away on August 16, 2025, with his wife by his side. Born on June 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Melchoir (Frederick) Rudolph and Rene (Rusconi) Rudolph. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Judith (Ceritto) Rudolph, for 62 years and will be sadly missed by his loving family; his beloved daughter, Tammy L. Rudolph, and his grandsons, Michael J. Falconeri IV and Cooper J. Falconeri. His sister, Patricia (Rudolph) Casertano and husband, Joseph (Jay) Casertano, brother, John Rudolph and his three sisters-in-law and their husbands, especially Linda and Michael Stacey, and many nieces and nephews and friends that he dearly loved. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Cindy Rudolph, and his mother-in-law, Lydia (Hoff) Ceritto.
Bills early life was spent outdoors at his favorite place, Hubbard Park. From ice skating to fishing to dirt bike riding and "coon hunting" and training field trial dogs, his love of the outdoors and his outgoing personality led him to a successful career as a landscape contractor in the Meriden area for over 40 years until illness overtook him. Always enjoying fishing, hunting and snowmobiling with family and friends, he loved riding his Harley Davidson. Bill frequently "Thanked God" for the life he lived and the family he was blessed with.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, September 8th at 10am, at Zion Lutheran Church, 235 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford. Burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, on Bee Street, in Meriden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, in appreciation of the kindness shown to our family.
