William Snedeker Obituary

William "Bill" J. Snedeker, 80, of Plainville, died on Oct. 27, 2008, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, at New Britain General. He was the husband of the late Mildred (Guerriere) Snedeker.
He was born Jan. 7, 1928, in New Britain, to the late James and Anna (Nealon) Snedeker. He was a longtime Plainville resident and was employed with the Town of Plainville for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church and the Plainville Athletic Backers Club. He also coached Plainville Little League and the Women's Softball League.
He is survived by his two children, Keith Snedeker and his wife, Janet, of Bristol, and Gail Pugliese, of Plainville; four grandchildren, Joseph Pugliese III and his wife, Rose, James Pugliese, and his wife, Jacci, Kelly Snedeker, and Sarah Snedeker; four great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Marissa, Jackson and Madelyn Pugliese; a brother, James Snedeker; a sister, Rosemarie "Dolly" McGilvery, both of New Britain; and several nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Duke, of Plainville and a close family friend, Johnny Fabrizio.
The funeral was held Oct. 31 at Bailey Funeral Home followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Plainville. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Connecticut, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108; or Connecticut Breast Cancer Coalition/Foundation, P.O. Box 509, South Windsor, CT 06074.
