Bliss C. Burg

1976 - 2016

GREENFIELD –- Bliss Corcoran Burg, 40, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, peacefully and surrounded by family.
Bliss was born in Plymouth, MA on February 10, 1976 the daughter of David and Carolyn (Bliss) Corcoran.
Bliss was a talented and passionate artist. Art was her solace. As a daughter, sister, a mother, a niece, a cousin, and a friend, Bliss' joy was contagious, and her love relentless. From early childhood at Woods Hole Child Center thru her early adolescence in Falmouth, and in her later years, she was a bright light for all who knew her.
Her recent time in Greenfield, MA was spent with dear friends and a close connection to the First Baptist Church led by Pastor Joseph A. DiDonato and his wife Janice. He and the congregation baptized her with love and acceptance.
She will be dearly missed by all.
Beside her parents of Falmouth, Bliss leaves behind her former husband Dan Burg of Bourne, MA, a son David Joshua Burg and a daughter Madeline Rose Burg also of Bourne, MA, two sisters; Michele Corcoran Buonomo and her husband Matt of Waltham, MA and Christy Corcoran of Brooklyn, NY, her maternal grandmother Jeanne Bliss of East Greenwich, RI, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will take place Thursday, August 4 from 3 to 5 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 87 Franklin St., Greenfield, MA. Burial services will be private.
