Corey Boyd Obituary

GREENFIELD - Corey James Boyd, 49, passed away suddenly on July 29, 2018.
He was born in Greenfield, MA on October 1, 1968 to Walter Boyd and Brenda Stone. He was raised by Walter Boyd and Loralyn (Hepburn) Boyd in Colrain, MA. He graduated from the Franklin County Technical School in 1986.
He worked at Deerfield Urethane for several years and worked as a Class A Licensed Truck Driver. He became disabled due to a failing bone structure and several surgeries which caused him to hold several part time jobs.
He was a member of many local bands as a drummer where he made many lifelong friendships. He loved riding motorcycles and was working towards trying to purchase one. He loved being near water so much that he became a certified open water diver and had an iconic boat. He enjoyed helping his friends and family with their vehicles because he was an adept mechanic. He enjoyed boiling sap in his family sugar shack and never allowed the fake stuff in his home. He was planning to live out the rest of his life in the tropical paradise of Puerto Rico.
He leaves his beloved children Stephanie (Boyd) Nartowicz (with Kyle Nartowicz), Sarah Boyd (with Cody Soos), and Kaili Lynch. He leaves one grandson Elliot Nartowicz.
He leaves his parents, Walter Boyd and Loralyn (Hepburn) Boyd. He leaves his siblings, Claire Boyd (with Bill Lemieux), Joshua Boyd (with Mariah Crossman), Jay Dascomb, and Mark Dascomb. He leaves his nephews Justin Boyd and Brayden Boyd.
Also, he leaves his partner, Karine Kelleher from Jacksonville, VT, who had too little time with Corey, but felt they would conquer the world together.
A celebration of Corey's life will be held at the Millers Falls Rod and Gun Club in Montague, MA on Sunday September 16, 2018 beginning at noon. All relatives and friends are invited to join in the remembrances of Corey. In lieu of flowers or cards, please bring a dish to share.

Corey you were truly a amazing friend! Always there to help or with some silly joke to turn a person's day around. So many fun times I can recall that you were apart of, from your bird that talked to you rescuing me from the side of the road..you will truly be missed and never forgotten

Corey touched so many lives and made friends everywhere he went. I will miss him even though we've been divorced for 24 years. He gave me 2 beautiful girls that he loved dearly. I will hold on to the great memories of him, and that smile of his. He will be missed. I love you Stephanie and Sarah, I love you too Kaili.
