Daniel 11/17/21 Obituary

Daniel Boehmer 4/22/1967 to 11/17/21

Bozeman, MT — Dan Boehmer, "Danny", was born on Earth Day in Mineola, NY in 1967. At 5 yrs his family made their way to Heath, MA where he had a fun childhood with his brother Jim, attending the Rowe Elementary School. At 14 Dan spent a year in Portland, OR and then returned to western MA to attend the Mohawk High School. Dan was a star on the soccer and baseball teams and had many close friends from wherever he went that remember him today.

Dan was always a skier and began working in the industry at Berkshire East in the mid 80's. Dan moved to Bozeman, MT and began working at Bridger Bowl, a non-for-profit ski area, which he devoted 26 yrs of his life to showing up and getting the lifts going. Dan ended his career in ski area operations after running a department of over 60 people.

Dan will be remembered by countless individuals for the warmth and connection he brought, and will be missed greatly. Dan's smile, sense of humor, love of music, and larger than life appreciation for others made Dan a friend to everyone. Nothing made Dan happier then to help others have fun and to be around family and friends.

Dan struggled with health issues in his later years, but always remained positive, reaching out with his good humor and stories, to share the love he felt for others and the world.

Dan Boehmer leaves behind his wife Petra, brother Jim and nieces Isabela (11) and Marlee (9), his mother Kathy O'Rourke, father Richard Boehmer and step mother Mary Boehmer, step siblings Justin and Molly King, cousins Kristen and Amanda Keiser, and many more.

A celebration of life will be held at the Warfield House in Charlemont on January 2nd from 1-5pm.

I am so sad to hear of Danny´s passing- I have such warm and happy memories of him, from our days at Rowe Elementary and at Mohawk as well. He was always kind and made me laugh. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
