David A. Biskerski

GREENFIELD, MA — On Sunday, November 21, 2021, David A. Biskerski, age 78, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his home in Greenfield, MA.

David was born in Greenfield, MA, beloved son of Albert and Mary Biskerski and is survived by wife, Dianne Biskerski, eleven children: Correen Guerrin, Patricia Baumgardner, Kimberly Cearley, James Ellis, Michael Biskerski, Deborah Covey, Frank Biskerski, Tonia Herzig, Tracy Swan, John Chapin, cousin Marie Weeks and family, fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and very special friends and family of Laura Harrington of Townsend, MA. Previously departed loved ones include his former wife, Barbara Salls, daughter Virginia Harriman, son David Chapin and best friend Ed McGrath.

David served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard of Massachusetts, 104th Inf. He was an accomplished baseball and football player for Greenfield High School, All-County and the State University at Buffalo and continued to be an avid sports fan throughout his life. He was a Train Operations Manager for the former Boston and Maine Railroad out of North Billerica, for 37 years, retiring in May 2003. He is remembered fondly by "a little DAB'll do ya".

David loved to golf, fish, ride his motorcycle, attend community events, travel, spend time at the beach, tend his gardens and had an infectious laugh. In retirement, he drove for Ray's Van Express providing medical transportation. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and never forgotten.

Services are on December 2, 2021, at 1:00pm at the Green River Cemetery in Greenfield. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home to which the family extends our sincerest thanks.
