Frances F. Petrin

Greenfield, MA - Frances J Petrin, 79, passed away at Charlene Manor in Greenfield, MA after a brief illness. She was born in Greenfield on November 5, 1944 to Edward J and Rhea (Desautels) Fleming.

Frances was a graduate of Brattleboro High School. She was a teller and also worked in the operations dept. At Vermont National Bank for many years until her retirement.

Frances enjoyed attending concerts at Indian Ranch in Webster and other venues. She loved to play Bingo and attend the local fairs, The Big E and the Franklin County Fair.

In her younger years she was known for making delicious, decorative cakes for any occasion.

Among her survivors, Frances leaves two sons, Vincent Petrin (Yukiko) of Japan, Michael (Anne) of Kansas, Grandchildren Yuki, Matthew and Kylie.

She is also survived by Tina Gregg, Kathy McCrory, A.J. and Bob Lenois and their families. Children, Grand Children and Great Grandchildren whom she loved deeply as her own.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her son, Kent ( Randy) Petrin and her life partner of 36 years, Sherwood (Skip) Lenois.

Funeral services will be private, burial will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.

The family would like to thank the ICU teams and Nurses at Baystate Franklin Medical Center and Baystate Springfield for their compassion, kindness and wisdom during her stays at the hospitals.

Thank you to the staff at Charlene Manor for helping with the transition to extended care. She had many friends and acquaintances at Greenfield Acres High Rise and Charlene manor. She will be deeply missed.
