Janet Lee Bond

Greenfield, MA - Janet Lee Bond, 71, of Davis Street died Monday 11/11/24 at her home. She was born in Tallahassee, FL on July 25, 1953, the daughter of William and BarDee (Stirland) Bond. Janet was a graduate of Rose High School in Greenville, NC and continued her education at Ohio University where she received a Bachelor of General Studies with a concentration in Humanities.

Janet was a reporter for the Greenfield Recorder from 1999 to 2008 when her battle with MS finally forced her to retire. Prior to this she was a Publications Manager for the School of Management in Boston. She also worked for NPR in Urbana, IL and Logan Utah where she hosted and produced various news programs.

Among her survivors, Janet leaves two sisters, Ellen Bond of Marietta, OH and Barbara Lardner and her husband David of Belen, NM; a brother, Geoffrey Bond and his wife Maria of Lake Charles, LA.

Funeral services and burial have yet to be determined.
