Jeffrey Gale Obituary

Jeffrey "Bucko" Gale

Northfield, MA - Jeffrey "Bucko" Gale, 66, of Northfield, Massachusetts, passed away after a sudden illness on May 7, 2024. He was born June 7, 1957 to John Gale and Beverly Herron Gale. In his youth he resided on Bald Mountain Road in Bernardston but was raised "In God's Country" on Herron's Farm amongst the blueberry fields in Leyden.

He made his living as a carpenter for 47 years, 20 of which was alongside his son Mike. He was appreciated by his clients.

He was a kind, patient and adventurous soul, more than a friend - he was everybody's brother who saw the good in all those he knew. In his spare time he enjoyed working on and driving anything with a motor, hunting, fishing but mostly spending time with his grandchildren.

So much can be said about Jeff but sentiments are best expressed by his grandson Jordan:

"Every time I enter Northfield I think of Papa Jeff and what we did together and what he would always say to me and the things that he taught me like going fishing, hunting and riding trucks with him. I miss all the good memories we had together. His friends and family will miss him very, very much. I will miss you very much Papa Jeff."

Jeff is survived by his children Joshua Gale of Northfield, Michael Gale (Aimee Doiron) of Jaffrey, NH and Savanah Gale (Zachary Kathan) of Mesa, AZ, his mother Beverly Gale of Bernardston, beloved grandchildren Jordan Battistoni, Grayson Gale, Jace Gale, Canden Kathan and McKenzie Kathan, sisters Sue (Dayton) Hale, Donna (Butch) Grover, brothers Robert Gale, Richard Gale, significant other Jackie Crook, ex-wife and friend Heidi Huber, uncle Sid Herron, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many lifelong friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at a time to be announced.

Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave, Northfield, MA is in charge of arrangements.

I haven't seen Bucko in over a decade. Shared much laughter and conversations with him years ago. A good natured man then and I suspect to the end. R.I.P.

I knew Bucko from our wild younger days. Riding motorcycles and raising heck. I Didn´t know him real well, but enjoyed bumping in to him at local biker hang outs.
