Jeremiah Dwyer Obituary

Jeremiah Michael Dwyer

Greenfield, MA - Jeremiah Michael Dwyer (Mike), 71, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 19, 2025.

Jeremiah was an amazing man and full of life to all that knew him. He loved his family fiercely and he had a sense of humor that would always make you laugh. He preferred to be called Mike. He was an extremely hard worker and wonderful provider for his family. When he wasn't working you could always find him playing his drums.

Besides his loving wife, Darlene, of 36 years, he also leaves behind his 2 stepchildren and their families: Michael Moynihan and his wife Cynthia of Surprise, AZ; Tammy Shippee and her husband Steve of Clarksville, AR. He was a beloved Papa to his 5 step grandchildren Justin Shippee, Alex Shippee, Evan Shippee, Samuel Moynihan and Lily Moynihan. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind 2 brothers he deeply loved John, Dennis, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends he's made over the years. Mike was pre-deceased by his father Thomas F. Dwyer, his mother Ruth M. Dwyer (Morse) and a brother Thomas.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Moose Club in Greenfield starting at 2pm.

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know him, but sounds like a wonderful man. This caught my attention because my mother was a Dwyer and my first Dwyer relative to come to this country was Jeremiah Dwyer in 1752.! May you have many good memories to comfort you in this ad time.
