Joan Jarvis Obituary

GREENFIELD - Joan (Sullivan) Jarvis, 81 , of Plantation Circle died Monday 7/9/18 at home. She was born in Troy, NY on October 8, 1936, the daughter of Edward S. and Wilma (Vandeboe) Sullivan. Joan attended local schools in New York and was a graduate of Watervliet High School.
Joan was a bookkeeper at The Recorder in Greenfield for many years. Prior to that she was a bookkeeper at Cain's Pickles.
She enjoyed bowling, bingo and fishing with her husband.
Among her survivors, Joan leaves three sons, David, Edward and Todd Jarvis, all of Greenfield, a daughter, Kimberly Turner of Greenfield, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Sue Sullivan, Mary Lou Nash and Sara Crain, all of Rensselaer, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Thomas W. Jarvis on June 13, 2013, a son, Michael Jarvis on December 30, 2008 and a brother, Edward C. Sullivan.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:30am until 11am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield. Following the visitation, there will be a short prayer service held at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Franklin County, 329 Conway Street, Greenfield, MA 01301.
