Joanne Santos Obituary
In 1975 she and her two sons moved to the Renaissance community of Gill, MA where she was a devoted member for many years.
For a time, Joanne drove tour busses for A-list rock bands including Linda Rondstadt, Elvis Costello and Jackson Browne. She was able to travel the country with some of the most famous names of rock and roll of the time.
Joanne owned and operated a popular garden stand and plant nursery at her home in Bernardston. She loved the outdoors and working in the garden.
She was a fierce Patriots fan.
One of Joanne's greatest attributes was taking care of others. She took many people in need under her wing.
She was known for her great smile, her big laugh, her strength, resiliency and wisdom. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Among her survivors, Joanne leaves her two sons, Hector Santos, Jr. and his wife Amelia of Brownsville, VT and Brian Santos of Greenfield, MA and three granddaughters, Samantha, Rachael and Elena.
Joanne was predeceased by her two brothers, Mike and Francis Richards.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5th at noon at Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St. with Rev. Timothy J. Campoli, officiating.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Buckley Healthcare Center, Resident's Activity Fund, 95 Laurel St., Greenfield, MA 01301
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kostanski Funeral Home.
