Joseph Spadafora Obituary
Born March 22, 1937 in Pittsfield MA, Joe was longtime resident of Orange and a beloved football coach and teacher at Mahar Regional High School for many years. He also started the football program and coached for 7 years at Franklin County Tech.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, sons Peter (New London, NH), Jay (Lemont, IL), Jeff (Evergreen, CO) and 9 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held October 15 at 9:30 a.m. St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Sarasota.
A celebration of Joe's life and legacy will be held October 22 at the Athol-Orange Elks from 2 to 5 p.m.. If you haven't RSVP'd at Signup Genius.com you can email [email protected]

Just learned of Joe's passing..he and I were baseball teamates at UMASS....one of nicest guys I knew and an outstanding catcher...Joe will be missed by many....

Joe was my catcher at UMASS in 1959 , fond memories of that baseball season from trip to South on bus to pitching a game against Al Belanger when he was at UCONN..

Joe Spadafora was my Catcher in the early 50S in Pittsfield Mass. He was a quiet talented receiver and more importantly a real quality person.
