Judith Chase Obituary

Judith Meriva Chase (Judy) 77, of Southwick, Massachusetts passed away on October 26, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Judy was born to Pearl (Hastings) Chase and Harry Chase on January 8, 1940 in Greenfield, Massachusetts.

After her young mother's death, Judy was raised by her uncle Massachusetts State Senator Ralph Lerche and her aunt Ruby Hastings Lerche in Northampton and Boston, Massachusetts.

Judy is known for her masterful quilts which she created for many decades, a contagious laugh and a wit second to none.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends including Marilyn, Amazing, Jen, Peggy, Brenda, Sheryl, Ora, Mary, Gil, Phoebe, Elder Care Access, Griswold Home Care, and Interim Home HealthCare.

A funeral home service will take place on Friday (Nov.9th, 2018) at 10:00AM in the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral and Cremation Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, (Highway 10/202) Southwick. The burial will be in High Street Cemetery, in Greenfield.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, New York 10016. www.forastiere.com
