Lindsey Weaver Obituary

BERNARDSTON - Lindsey E. Weaver, 25, of Brattleboro Rd., died Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, due to complications of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension.
Lindsey was born in Northampton, MA on January 25, 1992 the daughter of Walter J. and Ellen A. (Edwards) Weaver, Jr. She attended Pioneer Regional High School and received her GED from Greenfield Community College. She also attended GCC for a brief time before her illness made it too difficult to continue.
She loved keeping in touch with her many friends and family through social media. A selfie, pictures of her daughters, or just a moment in time would be captured and shared with many. Her daughters Alexis (4) and Liliana (2) meant the world to her and she cherished every moment she was with them. Swimming in the summer, going to the playground, being a part of community events, going to the fair, Lindsey enjoyed being outside and active. One of her favorite things to do was bake and she was even able to master her Nana's apple pie recipe, of that she was very proud.
Lindsey leaves behind her daughters; Alexis and Liliana Jones, her mother Ellen Weaver and brother Curtis Weaver, all of Bernardston, her maternal grandparents Philip and Nancy Edwards of Shutesbury, uncle Michael and aunt Elaine Edwards, aunt Rebecca Philips and aunt Marjorie Cowie, cousins Joanna and Alyssa Philips, and many friends.
She was predeceased by her father Walter Weaver Jr., a half sister Kristin Weaver and her paternal grandparents Walter and Ruth Weaver.
A celebration of Lindsey's life will take place today from 4 to 6 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 87 Franklin St., Greenfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 (or online at www.heart.org) or the American Lung Assoc., 1200 Hosford St., Suite 101, Hudson, WI 54016-9316 (or online at www.lung.org)

I will never forget Lindsey. She was a Wonder Mom to her daughters. I was her younger daughter's teacher at Head Start. What a wonderful person she was.

I will never forget Lindsey and her two beautiful children. I cared for Lilianna in Early Head Start and loved to talk with Lindsey about the things she loved doing with her girls. She was so passionate about the small things that everyone should be thankful for in life. I hope the girls are doing well. This family will always be in my heart.

I still remember Lindsey as a wonderful person and mother to her two daughters. I hope that her children will always have a great memory of their Mom. I cared for the youngest daughter and I loved being part of her education. Please know that there are people and spirits around you that love you and will take care of you. Just ask out loud.

This was a beautiful little girl. I miss her so much. She loved baking apple pies under the instruction of her grandmother, Nancy

This is very sad to know that a young life and wonderful Mom has been taken away from her two beautiful girls and her family and friends. I got to know Lindsey from being one of her daughters Early Education teacher. Lindsey was a great Mom who knew her children; was enthusiastic about teaching and caring for them. Lindsey was strong in being a single Mom; living on her own with the girls and caring for her medical issues. I am sure she is in heaven but she is still beside her daughters in spirit forever.... With sympathy to the girls, family and all her friends.

I took care of Lindsey while she was on ECMO. She was a treasure and a joy to care for. God bless you all.
