Matthew Brunette Obituary

Matthew Dillon Brunette

Greenfield, MA - Matthew Dillon Brunette was born December 8th, 1997 to Patricia Lynne Brunette (Whitcomb) and Albert E. Brunette Jr. at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA.

He died at home in Greenfield, MA on December 6th, 2022. He was 24 years old.

Left behind are his son Lucas Zacchary Brunette, his life partner Johnna Crockett, his niece Bellicia A. Brunette, his brother Anthony A. Brunette, sisters Kaliegh A. Brunette, Stacey L. Brunette and Cortney E. Weaver.

Matthew was well liked by everyone he met. He was smart, funny, charming and charismatic. He liked to spend time outdoors, especially in warm weather. He enjoyed anime, Marvel, playing Xbox with friends, weightlifting, music and dancing, walks in the rain, chocolate creme pie, Oreo milkshakes and spending time with his family. His greatest joy was being a father. His favorite color was olive green.

Matthew graduated from Turners Falls High school in 2016. He worked as a laborer and was hoping to continue his education in addiction studies and mathematics.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 1st at 4pm at the Smith Kelleher Funeral Home. All are welcome.

I was Matt's 4th grade teacher and truly loved him!!! I saw him around town often and was thrilled that he shared beautiful pictures of his family with me . He also did a wonderfully professional job repairing the foundation at my home last year. I will never forget him and pray for him and his family. Sadly I can't make the service but I wanted everyone to know that he was special. With love,Mrs. Michele Hazlett
