Raymond Paul DeMeo, Jr.

Royal Palm Beach , FL - Mr. Raymond P. DeMeo Jr., 95 of Royal Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, following a brief illness.

He was born on March 13, 1929, to Raymond DeMeo (11/19/04-11/05/89 and Clarissa Germain (10/10/07-8/16/90) of Greenfield, MA.

Upon his seventeenth birthday, Raymond Jr. enlisted in the US Navy and served honorably as a WWII veteran until his discharge in 1948. Returning to Greenfield, MA to work as a carpenter with his father. He married his bride, Rita T. Kenney (03/08/31) on April 11, 1953. They celebrated sixty-six years together until her passing on 07/22/99.

Raymond worked for many years as a machinist at the Greenfield Tap and Die until retiring to Richmond VA and then to Royal Palm Beach FL. He very much enjoyed fishing and playing tennis in his earlier years and riding a variety of motorcycles up to the age of 88, when he finally sold his prized Moto Guzzi Eldorado. Raymond continued to be active by playing golf up to a few months before he passed. And while he claimed he was quite good, there is no record of his scores.

Raymond is survived by his children, Barbara Powell and her husband Stuart of Royal Palm Beach FL., Paul DeMeo of Erving MA., and Diane Clarke of Royal Palm Beach FL. He also leaves numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two daughters, Ann DeMeo of Buckland MA (02/15/54-02/05/06) and Linda J. Borras of Sunrise FL and two sisters, Constance Ament of Montague MA (1927–1998) and Bernice Gulino of Rockport, MA.
