Richard Nicoll Obituary
Pompano Beach, FL - Richard Floyd Nicoll died suddenly at home on January 2, 2023 at the age of 76.
Born in Manchester, NH and raised in the greater Boston area, Dick was a rascal teen turned Vietnam-era U.S. Navy sailor who afterward, inspired by his distaste for military service and authority in general, breezed through college at UMass-Amherst, crossed the country a couple of times on a motorcycle, started a family and attended law school at Western New England University. He practiced law as a criminal defense attorney in Greenfield, MA but was mostly a golfer.
He recently lived quietly in southern Florida paddling around the pool by day and dining with his best friend Caroline by night.
He was whip-smart, funnier than most and a gentleman. He will be missed.
He leaves three daughters, Kimberly, Elizabeth and Melanie, and eight grandchildren, Angelica, Eliana, Ethan, Isabella, Josephine, Laszlo, Lina and Matthew. He also leaves two nieces, Nancy and Leslie and one nephew, Rob. He was predeceased by his dear sister, Mary.

I am saddened to hear about Richard´s passing. My last text was December 31 and wondered why I had not had a text and searched his name when he didn´t answer his phone! I am shocked, he was a great friend and Happy Hour partner. He will be missed! RIP, you will be missed

I am saddened to learn of Dick´s passing and extend sincere condolences. He sure was a golfer, a friend, pool player, and all around good guy. We shared lots of laughs over the years and I consider him a mentor. I hope to see you on the other side, my friend. In the meantime, I plan to raise a glass (or two) in your honor and memory. Thanks for the memories!
