Robin Paris Obituary
Gill, MA — Robin Paris passed peacefully at sunrise on Monday, August 1, 2022. She took her last breath with her daughter, Asa Paris, by her side in the comfort of her home in Gill, MA.
Robin was born into a large and loving extended family in Brooklyn, NY on September 29, 1948. Robin's early life in the city provided the cultural backdrop under which she fostered her passion for music, creativity, and knowledge. She completed her early education at New York University, Buffalo and then went on to complete her master's degree at NYU Steinhart School of Education. A serendipitous meeting at her Greenwich village apartment brought her to the Pioneer Valley, the place that she claimed as her home for the duration of her full and vibrant life.
To know Robin is to know the futility in trying to distill down her life and spirit to words on a page. She was an edifice of light. The hats she wore are too numerous to mention, the scope of her reach too broad to draw, the depth of her impact too far to measure. Instead, her loved ones would like to convey the essence of her nature. Perhaps the best descriptor for Robin's life is the name she gave her abundant garden, "Bountiful." Whether you knew Robin for an instant or a lifetime you were left knowing the depth of her joy, compassion, generosity, and Love. Her affect was contagious. Her broad smile drew you in, her inquisitive nature held you, and her wisdom left you wanting more. She was full of Love and made it her life's work to emanate that Love to everyone she encountered. She created community wherever she went. She was a unifier and a gift to all who knew her. She will be missed, but her legacy will never be lost. Robin summed it up best by saying, "The greatest value has come from the people I've known." The truth is, the value was in knowing her.

I didn´t know Robin personally, but watching her dance to Tommy Row´s Dizzy was a breath of fresh air! She was like this in everything she did and my heart is extremely saddened by this peaceful, talented lady. She was absolutely one of a kind and there will never be another like her. Rest in peace, Robin. You will surely be missed by all.

I met Robin during my research of the Renaissance Community in Turner's Fall and Gill MA., and continued our inspiring cooperation for many years. Robin was informative and and inspiring in completing my book about the Renaissance Movement (Attempting An Alternative Society) published by an outlet of Harvard University . Robin's altruism and love for people, nature, and spirituality has always impressed me.
Robin, I am grateful for your inspiration and friendship.

Robin, it´s the generosity of your heart that I think of most of all.
A few years ago we had lunch together and the conversation turned to music and our favorite songs from our early adult years. Two days later you dropped off a cd you had compiled of the songs we had discussed.
I recently moved and in the packing process I came upon that cd. Coincidence? I think not.
