Roger A. Farrington

Colrain, MA - Roger A. Farrington, 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Roger was born in Colrain on Sept. 18, 1938 the son of George and Jennie (Fairbanks) Farrington. He was a graduate of Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls.

He lived most of his life in Colrain and in his early years he was involved with the family farm, logging and sugaring. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting and doing projects with his tractor. He created a man-made pond on the family property and he would often spend time there appreciating the solitude.

He was a machinist in the plastics industry working many years at Deerfield Plastics which later became Pro-Pel Plastics.

Roger is survived by his wife Doris (Feight) Farrington, son Louis Peck and wife Sandy of Colrain, daughters Terri Babineau and husband Shawn of Erving, Cindylou LaChance and husband William of Greenfield, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Shirley and Ellie Farrington and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering and service will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Colrain Community Church from 12pm to 2 pm.

I worked with Roger at ProPel Plastech for a few years . He tought me alot and I'm gonna miss him he was a great guy.
