Stephen Parenchuck Obituary
He was born in Brattleboro, Vt., on June 7, 1917, the son of Marcus and Mary (Veletski) Parenchuck.
He was educated in Brattleboro, Vt. Schools and was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School. He married the former Ella Ebbighausen who predeceased him.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII. After the service he came back and went to work for the former Crosby Mills, later Agway in Brattleboro retiring after more than 30 years of employment. He was a member of the Hinsdale NH V.F.W. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and rabbit hunter, training many rabbits hounds.
He is survived by his son Charles Parenchuck and his wife Margaret of Vernon, Ct. and his daughter Patti Jean Barnes and her husband Raymond of Northfield, Ma. Four grandchildren: Mark and John Parenchuck, and Jason and Jamie Barnes and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service with full military honors, will be held Friday (5-11-2012) at 11 a.m. at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Meeting House Road, N. Hinsdale, NH. The Rev. Bruce Burks, pastor of the Advent Christian Church, Vernon, Vt., will officiate.
There are no calling hours.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Advent Christian Homes, 13 Greenway Drive, Vernon, Vt. 05354.
Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave., Northfield, MA is in charge of arrangements.
