Susan Fisher Obituary

Susan M. Fisher

Montague, MA - Susan Mary (Simondiski) Fisher, 77, of Montague, MA, entered God's loving arms on December 28, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Ann Simondiski of Greenfield.

Sue was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose passion for crafts was unmatched.

She retired from Franklin County Technical School after 22 years of dedicated service.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 51 years, Robert (Bob) Fisher; her sons, David Huber (Sandy) of Massachusetts and Chad Huber (Anne) of Virginia; her grandchildren, Justin (wife Annie), Annie, Jay, and Jacob; and her great-grandsons, Noah and Asher. She is also survived by her siblings, Pat Hilton (Buzz) of North Carolina, Chuck Simondiski of Kentucky, Mary Schuster (Mike) of Washington, and Carol Skorulski (Mike) of Florida; and her nephews, Mike, Scott, and Eric.

She was lovingly known as Gramma Sue (GS) to everyone fortunate enough to have met her.

Sue wished for a family service by the ocean.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Greenfield Pets Animal Rescue in her memory. https://greenfieldpets.org/pages/donate-now

Sue was a wonderful soul. She was family by choice, although I grew up hearing my grandmother and Sue refer to each other as "sissy" and I really don´t know at what age I realized they weren´t actually sisters. She was always the first one there for my family in tough times. I know sue will be looking out for all of her people from heaven and she will be terribly missed by everyone in our family especially my grandmother Beth.
My sincere condolences go out to family and friends suffering through this devastating loss.

I worked with Sue for many years as the school nurse at Franklin Tech. Sue was one of the kindest and funniest people I know, when I went to her office she shared with Beth or the supers office and shared great laughter with Marrianne and Russ it was such a highlight of my day. We also shared being part of our "grandmothers group" as we and a few others were raising our grandchildren. Sue will be missed by many and may she now rest peacefully

Sue was a beautiful person inside and out and her sense of humor was infectious! Never in my entire life have I ever laughed as much as the years I spent working with her at Franklin County Tech School! The chemistry between she, Beth, Russ and I was a once in a lifetime blessing! We would sit at "the table from hell" and laugh so hard that tears would be falling down our cheeks day in and day out! Sue was like a beacon in the night to me. She illuminated the path forward, of which she had already traversed, and helped to fill me with the confidence I had lacked. She once gave me a card that said something to the effect of, "Behind that huge door you are so afraid to open, lies all the happiness and answers you seek!" And she was absolutely correct! Thank you, my SIC, "Sister in Christ!" You were loved immensely and will be forever missed.
Our hearts break for Bobby and your beautiful sissies, their spouses and kids, and your brother, for Justin and his precious family, and for your sons! But your love of Bobby, your family, and your love and friendship with Beth, and the love and laughter you shared with others, will never be forgotten, Sue! With love and gratitude for having been able to call you "my friend!"Xoxoxo

I had many, many laughs with Sue at the Franklin County Tech School. She would joke that when she retired she expected her car to automatically drive her the the school because she had been working there so many years the car wouldn't know where else to bring her!
