Greenfield, MA — Timothy J. Lovell, 39, passed away June 18, 2022 after a long illness surrounded by his loving family. Tim was born at Franklin Medical in Greenfield on November 21, 1982 and raised in Belchertown. He attended Belchertown schools and graduated in 2001 from Belchertown High School.

He later attended Holyoke Community College and Westfield State and graduated with a Masters Degree in Movement Science at Bay Path. Tim later devoted his life to helping others through his career as an occupational therapist. He worked as an adjunct professor at Bay Path and was employed by Preferred Therapy Solutions in Brattleboro, VT and later by Remedy Therapy Services in Gardner, MA. He received many letters of thanks from his former patients.

Tim was a former communicant of Saint Francis in Belchertown. He was a sports enthusiast and played soccer for Belchertown in elementary school. His favorite sports teams were the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Tim loved animals, especially his golden retriever Wade. In his spare time, he enjoyed mountain biking, fishing, recreational target shooting and was a self-taught guitar player.

He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. Tim leaves behind his father, George Lovell of Greenfield, mother and step-father Denise and Steve Baran of Belchertown, brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Michele Lovell of Chicopee, and his nieces Kayla and Kiersten, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Calling hours are from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 with the funeral service on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 10 AM, both at Walker Funeral Home , 14 High Street, Greenfield.
